It's tough to see how this can be anything other than the most excellent tactic for ensuring that you never have to host a dinner party ever again. Or have to see your friends again, for that matter. And while that might sound like an introvert's dream, I'd probably still suggest another option.
You see, people are not going to want to see you or spend time with you… They're going to hate you and talk to each other about how petty and cheap you are. You might even get blasted on social media for the world to witness.
That's what happened to the hosts of this dinner party after they asked Amber Nelson to pay for her meal when they invited her over for dinner. She posted the incident to Twitter asking the following question:
Got invited to someone's place for dinner, and they charged me for it….this is weird, right?
Responses to the tweet were overwhelmingly bewildered and outraged. With some commenters offering some different cultural practices relating to the incident.
